Meeting Minutes Noveber 28, 2011
The General Membership meeting of the Missaukee Trail Blazers was held Monday, November 28, 2011 at the EMS Building in Lake City MI and called to order at 8:00 PM by President Fred Bartholomew. Vice-President Teresa LaFond, Secretary Glennice Perrigo, Trustees Butch Wagner, John Knapp and Dean Sloat were present. Treasurer Lorie Kittle was absent. There were eight members present.
A motion was made by Roger Freed supported by Jim Leeuw to approve the minutes of the October 24, 2011 General Membership meeting. Motion passed.
Fred Bartholomew gave the treasurers’ report showing a balance of $32, 951.15 (restricted $10,638.10 and unrestricted $22,313.05). A motion was made by Roger Freed supported by Jim Leeuw to approve the treasurers’ report as presented. Motion passed.
There was a big turn-out for the trail clean-up and the trail signing. Everything went very well. A BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers.
Brett/DNR has done a partial inspection of the trails and everything looks good. He will finalize the inspection next week.
If the Club has a group ride that is advertised and charges a fee we would need to get a permit.
Randy Kittle can no longer be Trail Coordinator . Alex Andrash has volunteered to be the new Trail Coordinator and Lorie Kittle will continue to do the paperwork. A groomers meeting will be scheduled soon and Butch Wagner will train any new groomers.
One of our chain saws needs to be replaced. A motion was made by Jim Leeuw supported by John Schneider to purchase a new chain saw. Motion passed.
Ray Rising will monitor the radio for the 2011/2012 season.
The 50/50 was won by Glennice Perrigo.
A motion was made by Roger Freed supported by Jim Leeuw to adjourn. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM. Out next scheduled meeting is December 26, 2011.
