Meeting Minutes May 24, 2010
The General Membership meeting of the Missaukee Trail Blazers was held Monday, May 24, 2010 in the EMS Building in Lake City MI. and call to order at 7:00 PM by President Bill Voelker. Treasurer Lorie Kittle, Trustee Butch Wager and Secretary Glennice Perrigo present. Vice-President Teresa LaFond, Truestees Ron Loveland and Dean Sloat absent. Six members were also present.
The minutes of the April 26, 2010 General Membership meeting were passed out to each club member. A motion was made by Tom Machuga supported by Jim Leeuw to accept the minutes of the April 26, 2010 General Membership meeting. Motion passed.
Treasurer Lorie Kittle presented the treasurers report showing a balance of $24,413.26 (restricted $4,046.77 and unrestricted $20,366.49). A motion was made by Don Richardson supported by John Knapp the accept treasurers' report as presented. Motion passed.
A big thank-you to Lorie Kittle, Teresa LaFond, Karen Bartholomew, Jim Leeuw and everyone else that helped with the rummage sale. The club made $602.36.
Discusssed the following: Bill Voelker will furnish a tractor for the 4th of July parade advertising the club.
Don Richardson inquired about the repair of the drag. Bill Voelker said this should be taken care of in June.
Don also asked about a sign for the drag. Roger Freed will check into.
Tom Machuga inquired as to how much inventory of merchandise the club has left to sell. Lorie Kittle said inventory was getting low. A motion was made by Roger Freed supported by Don Richardson to allow Teresa LaFond to spend $1,000.00 to purchase new merchandise for the club to sell and to consider the items that Kay Leeuw has made up for the club. Motion passed.
Community picnic is scheduled for July 17, 2010 at Maple Grove.
Discussed having a "Kick Off for Winter Season" meeting to be held on a Saturday (possibly in September) so the out of town members could attend.
Lorie Kittle stated that Bob York has not turned in his key for the donation boxes. Bill Voelker will contact Bob.
Butch Wagner volunteered to power wash our equipment and Don Richardson and Bill Voelker to help.
Bill Voelker plans to go to Iowa for a National Grooming Show in June.
A motion was made by Jim Leeuw supported by Tom Machuga to adjourn. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM
