  • Meeting Minutes April 26, 2010
    The General Membership Meeting of the Missaukee Trail Blazers was held Monday, April 26, 2010 at the EMS Building in Lake City, MI and called to order at 7:00 PM by President Bill Voelker. Vice-President Teresa LaFond, Secretary Glennice Perrigo, Treasurer Lorie Kittle, and Trustees Ron Loveland, Dean Sloat and Bob York were present. Fifteen members were also present.

    Fred Bartholomew accepted President Bill Voelkers' request to chair the election committee. A motion was made by Tom Machuga supported by Don Richardson to nominate Jim Leeuw to the election committee and Jim Leeuw accepted. A motion was made by Bob York supported by Fred Bartholomew to nominate Nate Hendrix to the election committee and Nate Hendrix accepted. The ballots were passed out to each member present to vote for Diane Loveland or Butch Wagner for the Trustee position to replace Bob York as his term is up. The Election Committee reported that Butch Wagner won the three year Trustee position and he was sworn in by Vice-President Teresa LaFond. Lorie Kittle was also sworn in as Treasurer by Vice-President Teresa LaFond.

    The minutes of the March 22, 2010 General Membership Meeting were passed out to each club member. A motion was made by Tom Machuga supported by Diane Loveland to accept the minutes of the March 22, 2010 General Membership Meeting. Motion passed.

    Outgoing Treasurer Carol Bradley could not attend the General Membership Meeting so new Treasurer Lorie Kittle presented the Treasurer's report showing a balance of $22,447.03 (restricted $3,210.04, unrestricted $19,236.99). She also stated that she would void the check that had been made out to Business Radio License but had not been signed as this was not a legitimate invoice. A motion was made by Fred Bartholomew supported by John Knapp to accept the Treasurers' report as presented. Motion passed.

    A big thank you to Teresa LaFond for the organizing the yard clean-ups and the Adopt-A-Highway.

    Diane Loveland reported that we had groomed only one-half the trails as we did last winter.

    Don Richardson asked if the new drag was going to get fixed. Bill Voelker talked with a Representative of the Company and the drag will be repaired at no expense to the club.

    Teresa LaFond reminded everyone of the Rummage sale May 21 & 22, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Maple Grove. If interested in donating any items please contact Teresa.

    Voelker Implement will have a tractor in the parade July 4 advertising the Missaukee Trail Blazers.

    A big thank-you to John Schneider who is making signs with our maps on them to be put on the trails.

    Ron Loveland reported that Straford Staging area was putting in a full staging area which will include portable toilets.

    Randy Kittle presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Bob York.

    Don Richardson won the 50/50 raffle.

    The next scheduled General Membership Meeting will be May 24, 2010 at the EMS Building in Lake City, MI.

    A motion was made by Jim Leeuw supported by Butch Wagner to adjourn. Motion passed and meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
